It is a small story based off the characters and events of my favorite novel that I have written so far. Two characters, one car, and a special birthday surprise to end all surprises.

Never Forget Me

A Short Story About Connections, Grace, and True Love

A warm hand falls on my shoulder, shaking me gently. My eyes open slowly. Then, gazing up, I meet James' soft eyes. He smiles down at me.

I groan, closing my eyes and sinking back into the covers.

"Lass," he says softly, reaching over and kissing me on the forehead. "Wake up."

I grunt, pulling the purple sheets higher up on my neck. "No," I mumble softly.

A few seconds of silence pass.

"Come on, Paige. Get up; it's light outside already." His voice becomes gently teasing. He reaches under the covers and pulls out my hand, tugging on it. His thick, warm Scottish drawl is heavier than mine, and it makes a soft smile play on my lips.

I wrench my fingers out of his grasp. "What time is it?" I pull the covers over my head this time, holding them there even when James tries to pull them...

'Even the whitest of sheep aren't white when it snows.'

I
Write
Poetry!

Here are a few of my favorite lines-
Is this what starlight feels like--to be wanted, to be had?
I want to edit a novel--watch the plot twist and turn.
Not just change it,
Make it learn.
30 seconds for pain.
30 seconds for pleasure.

30 seconds for promises
That were never kept.

About Me:

Good day, good day! I am a super-Canadian homeschooled writer with a passion for literature. I'm an avid reader, Brandon Sanderson mega-fan, and fiction writer. I enjoy a good bouquet of flowers, a nice desk chair, and a tablet held between my hands. My four housecats roam the wild plains of my messy desk as I write stories of fun and failure and found friends. I'll ride on the sunny days and read on the snowy ones. I have a camera which I'll use to photograph my home valley when the sky goes pink. Please don't ask me if I travel, the answer will be a little depressing.

I own multiple notebooks, all started and most unfinished.

Two sisters and a farm in the middle of nowhere later, you'll find my little desk and writing lamp. If you look a little harder you'll see my headphones and my math cheat sheets hung up on a corkboard above my head. A calming organized chaos, if you ask me.

There is always a little bit of an aura of chaos around a writers brain, I thought once, then I realized it was just me and this weird little place in the middle of nowhere that I could never think of leaving. Oh, but I do. I want to see New York City. I want to sit in on one of Brandon Sanderson's writing lectures in Utah. I want to see a castle in Scotland, visit my family's roots in Germany. I want to go climb a mountain just to see the view from the top and sit in the woods while on breaks typing madly away at my novel.

I have written over 6 novels, though the number is getting a little fuzzy now. I have been writing for...two or three years, and have only finished one maybe two short stories. I have a little over half a million words in fictional places and maybe that's not healthy but I don't really care much.

I am also a Christian. I spend a few minutes every night before sleeping praying to Jesus, and I'll read my Bible every day. I hope that one day I will know enough about the Bible and God to go back to writing posts about Him and His grace, and I'm yearning for that day to be soon.

I also like physics and law and Greek mythology (I blame Percy Jackson for starting that one). I could tell you the mass of the sun, and the speed of sound ad the equation for velocity. I could also tell you nearly nothing about law because that has not gotten on my curriculum list for next year yet, but I do know the story of Orpheus and the Titans, which are stories longer than I can manage right now so you'll have to excuse me.

I once looked at another author's biography section and wondered why it was so long and why it took literally forever to get to their pro-bio. Then I realized I'm doing the same thing and if you've read this far then I am really proud of you. That's a whole lots of words right there and I have respect for word-readers.

Please reach out if you have any questions, I would love to talk to you. I love ranting about books and lift and stuff.... Anyways, goodbye!
