I Want To Be An Author

I want to be an author--see my name in my hands.

Not just a writer

Books on stands.

I want to see a book--my book in a bookstore

Not just my computer.

Rooms, a door.

I want to make a reader cry--like all the good authors do.

Not just myself.

Readers too.

I want to be an author--to get so far.

So no more pain can get me, no.

Door's ajar.

I want to edit a novel--watch the plot twist, the words turn.

Not just change it.

Make it learn.

I want to be that person--that favorite author.

Not just respected.

Perfect score.

I want to watch my novel be a movie.

Not just a novel.

Good, happy.

I want to see my characters joyful--the ones that are you.

Beautiful, happy, trustworthy too.

I want to be an author--to write, to be.

I will be an author one day....

You'll see.
