I’ve decided that lots of you don’t know me. That, maybe, I should tell you a little more before I go in rambling into 2025. So here we are, doing a little intro post. I know, weird. I'm doing this one year into blogging.
Annywayssss, it’s now or never, right?!
K, here we go.
My name is Lady Claudia Butterfly Liedtke, and I live on the undiscovered planet you aliens call Earth. It is a small rock orbiting a giant sun in a universe created by The High Commander.
He, my friends, is very useful in a time of peril.
On this tiny rock of mine, I live in a relatively small valley surrounded by a dense forest of trees. Yes, not a forest of spaghetti, only trees. And in that forest of trees is a little field. A super lousy hay field that once was a sad little speck of an idea in The High Commander’s mind. In this super bad hay field is a small (large) green (blue) shed (house). And I live there in complete solitude (with my two sisters and lovely mother), built away like a little hermit crab in its shell (literally only 30 minutes away from any civilization). I teach myself (am homeschooled) and sleep with giant wall slugs sleeping on top of me (basically describing my orange tabby cat to you right now).
As a hobby, I knit (write). There’s something mystical and amazing to knitting, to making people change their thoughts and feelings with only my yarn. I work on this hobby every day, honing my craft and creating a place where young Christian girls and boys can come and learn about themselves through Christ.
I spend my time learning at my desk, drawing, knitting, and sewing (plotting, writing, and schooling). Going into the new year, I have woven five and a half tapestries (novels), one small macrame (story), and knitted over 471,000 socks (words). That’s my life. I run this crazy blog that you, dear reader, came to to discover the life of a teen. Or maybe you came for some other reason. But, crazy thing is, this blog is so much more.
I have this idea in my mind: I’ll be able to talk and have conversations with the world’s ideas here on this paper—with you. Join me, and let’s hash out ideas and learn and draw all the good information from these words we're screaming back and forth at each other.
There’s no guarantee that my little human words will change your mind. I mean, if it does, I’m pretty impressed.
You, reader, are the person I’m writing for. Thank you for reading this. And even if you just skipped to the bottom, skimming over the words, I still want to thank you just for being here.
You all be good, listen to God, and love your neighbours.
Stay Strong,
Claudia
Super Important Final Note:
My last name is not Butterfly. For now, let’s just leave it as B. okay?
Nice to meet you! 😊
