I Like Ducks And Books And Updates

Funny thing is they’re not even my ducks. Instead, they're the castaways my little sister has decided are not worthy of sitting on her desklight. Don’t get me wrong having 5--used to be six, I don't know where the blue one went--sets of eyes staring at me when writing is both settling and a little creepy. Like my five Instagram followers stalking my every move. XD That is a funny thought.

But, anyways. I've decided to write less of a teaching post, but an update post.

Also, I'm currently reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians, a middle-grade series following young Perseus Jackson as he realizes he is a half-blood doomed to die. It is thrilling, hilarious, and super easy to read. I have read the first and second books in two days and I'm nearly halfway through the third (I started on Thursday). The author is Rick Riorden (think rio'r-den) and this series is his debut (first ever published). It has already been turned into a movie twice (well, a first and second movie, and now two seasons of a tv series). I am forcing myself not to get my hopes up. It makes me just a little excited to see what could happen with good writing.

Buuuuut other than that....

I have been thinking of doing some rebranding. And I know it sounds a little scary, but don't worry, I'm not going to be doing any deleting. Maybe some purging of the worst examples of my writing ability, but that is all.

I have had this thought in the back of my head for a while, and I don't think I've been heading the right direction for the last while. I've been doing some new Bible studies and I'm realizing there is still so much to learn before I go crazy and write about things I only vaugely know about. Now, this isn't entirely an awful thing. My old Biblical posts have value and there is still worth to those words, but I would like to take a chance to write about the things I am cement-sure about before I write about the things that are a little more vaugue to me.

So I am veering toward more of a day-in-the-life-of-a-teen-writer and less of a get-all-your-spiritual-information-here kind of blog. I am not saying I don't want to talk about Jesus, I absolutely want to share Him with everyone and will continue to talk about His goodness in every post I make. But I know my best abilities lie in different places for now and I don't believe that is a bad thing. Maybe one day I will be able to come back and teach people about Jesus every week.

But to leave it on a better note I will give you something amazing....
