A Collection of Names

I have been on a few blogs lately, and most of them have a page (if you don't know what a page is, it is like one of the sections in the drop-down menu [on this website, they are home, blog, and sign up]) dedicated wholly to people and podcasts that are either writing or life related (guilty as charged, I do not follow a lot of (edit, any) blogs that are life-related so I don't have any options for that section right now, unless you count Jaquelle, which I suppose you could, never mind!!!!). And while I create for myself one of those pages, I have decided to fill a little of that space with *drumroll* a blog post dedicated to people who are aiding my writing and life journey! This post is, as you guessed, for all my writing friends, and (of course) for those interested in the people I like!

Well, let's just jump right in.

BLOGS

Blogs That Teach You To Write-

This is a paid workshop that is all for teaching the young Christian writers of this world become better and more fulfilled in not just their writing, but also their future careers. This resource has taught me so much and I have only been a member for a year and a little (Creators: Brett Harris and Jaquelle Ferris)

Do you have any action scene questions? Carla is your girl. The Martial-Art master is a writer herself and she teaches about all the technicalities that revolve around writing a good biology-accurate battle-scene. (Creator: Carla Hoch)

A podcast (see here) and blog that is dedicated to teaching writers all the things between how to write faster, to how to market your books well. (Creator: Thomas Umstattd Jr.)

A collection of Christian writers who have dedicated lots and lots of time to create the free resource known as Story Embers that teaches writers a variety of things that range between how to make writing a successful career, writing good characters, and even how to reinforce writing habits.

Tiffany writes, journals, and, in her free time, teaches young writers how to take full advantage of their abilities and grow in their writing. She writes blog posts on finding literary agents and self-publishing too!

I have talked about this person before...I think. She is the ultimate writer's friend, who dedicates every one of her Wednesdays to putting out short, snappy, helpful writers videos to teach writers how to make the best of their stories. (Warning, she is not a Christian, and does swear lightly in her videos.)

Brandon Sanderson (Website) (Blog) (YouTube)

You guys have definitely heard me talk about this guy before. I am either fangirling, or totally fangirling over his writing and advice. I have put up a few links above, each for a different way to reach the legend. I hope you enjoy!

Personal/Writer Blogs-

Josiah DeGraaf (Email List) I met Josiah through the Young Writer's Workshop, and have participated in many an office hours on the platform, asking questions and receiving information. He has given me a view of writing and how to approach getting better that have been essential to me moving through this writing journey.

Another YWW instructor that writes non-fiction about God and young writers. She has been incredibly helpful in the publishing department.

You know this person! I did an interview with her, visit that post with this link. The 3Cs (Contemplations of a Christian Creator nickname) talks about life, writing, and stories, highlighting the whimsical life of a young creator.

The Warrior Co. is all about giving the quiet a voice, putting out good, clean Christian content that is applicable to both writing and life.

Another writer that has given me both an understanding of the popularity of cozy fiction (listen to the free audiobook of her first ever novel [which she published when she was only 13] by signing up to her email list!). I have fallen in love with both her character and her love of the art of writing and I can't want to have the chance to read more of her novels.

A writer dedicated to books that are sweet and good, all about faith and family and love. Another cozy-fiction writer like Millie Florence.

Another YWW Instructor that has given me a new eye to see my writing with. I am currently reading her latest book, Ignite, and have instantly fallen in love! She is a writer to admire. <3

PODCASTS

Author Media (Podcast) (Spotify)

Same as the bog but about 100% more convenient.

Fightwrite (Spotify)

Also same as the blog, but a lot easier to get to and a lot funnier to listen to (listen to an episode and you'll see what I mean).

Read-Aloud Revival (Podcast) (Website)

Hosted by Sarah Mackenzie, she talks about Christian writers making their way in the world. Her podcast is all about homeschooling and teaching children to love good books.

The Warrior Cast (Spotify)

Hosted by The Warrior Co, and mainly conversations between Lori (Creator of the Warrior Co.) and another young writer who has a strong, Christian belief worth sharing.

That is about all I can think of right now. If I ever get a new idea or suddenly realize I left someone out, I will come back and edit this, which is why it might look different when you come back in the future (Yes, I have decided you are coming back duh duh duhhhhh!!!!)

The End,

Claudia
