Changes

Many people believe that change is bad. Well, they’d be right. Change in government is sometimes bumpy, change in style can make you look silly. But what about a change in heart? What about a change in you'd body and your mind?

The Bible says many things about changing your mind.

One is the verse Romans 12:2,

‘Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.’

God wants us to grow and change with the time. He wants us to break boundaries with our minds.

This world is unique. It takes a long time to grow and shape a life in a broken and deformed world. God knows this world; He knows it is not beautiful and not easy to live in.

Jeremiah 29:11 says,

‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD.’

God knows it is not easy. He knows because he made it hard on purpose. God always says, everywhere (go check for yourself), that He does not do anything without a purpose. He does things according to a plot, according to a plan. He knows what is happening, and all you have to do is trust that He wanted it to happen that way.

My mom has this saying that goes: It’s going to be okay in the end, and if it’s not okay, it’s not the end.

God knows when the end is. He knows that you will have to change to get there.

Changing in your mind does not onky mean changing in your walk with God, but also with changing what kind of person you are in this world.

God calls us not only to change, and not be as the world is, but also to be decisive. Do not do something just because the world tells you to. You are going to change because you want to. Because God told you to. Not because the world makes you.

Be strong, be resilient. Your God will not fail you.

Take that step; go down that path.

Ride that bike, and ride it well.

During the path of change, we will often need training wheels.

That’s okay! God knows God trusts that even without those wheels, you will not ride too far down the street. It is not impossible to change without having the world change with you.

So stay focused, and stay faithful.
